Renowned real estate agents Crystal McKeown and Antonia Baker have joined forces at Ray White Te Atatu.

Five years ago, Crystal started her real estate career at Ray White Te Atatu.

“I have been in real estate full time for the last five years and have always been Ray White,’ she said.

“In my first year of real estate I worked really hard to make a mark here in the peninsula and I was recognised with the Rising Star award at the national Ray White annual awards.

“My passion grew from there to keep going and growing.”

After spending a few years working at another Ray White business, the former owner of Ray White Te Atatu, Diane Stevenson asked Crystal if she would be interested in taking over ownership of Ray White Te Atatu.

“When I was 32 weeks pregnant with my third child, Diane asked me if I’d be interested in buying the sales business,” Crystal said.

“I took a minute to really think about it as I’d never considered being a franchise owner and especially with three young children.

“But having an overloaded plate seems to be a trait of mine, so I said yes and here I am!”

Antonia previously owned her own successful boutique agency on the peninsula, and Crystal said Antonia had always been on her radar.

“Every dealing with Antonia was always professional and her knowledge of property and the real estate industry has always stood out,” she said.

“Then one day, I took my vendor through one of her listings and, after viewing was finished, Antonia and I stayed at the property talking about goals, the market, my vision, her vision, and we continued to tailor what this would look like with her as part of my team!

“Fast forward to November 2023 and Antonia is now an amazing agent at Ray White Te Atatu.”

Antonia said she has worked in real estate for 15 years, running her own business for 13 of those years.

“Being independent for so long was useful. It teaches you to be resilient and self reliant and to know how to look for opportunity,” she said.

“That said, I’m already really enjoying being part of a team and they have been incredibly welcoming.”

Crystal said she hoped to continue to grow the business in 2024.

“I want to continue to grow our market share here in Te Atatu, support our local community, and paint the town yellow!” she said.

“I’d like our team at Ray White Te Atatu to be known as locals helping locals.

“We’re all results driven, quality focused and family oriented so we’re always here to help.”

Antonia said she hoped to help Crystal to grow the Ray White Te Atatu business.

“I’d like to help grow the team and expand our share of the local market,” she said.

“Our team is divine to work with and they are so excited about the future.

“It’s good vibes all round and I’m looking forward to being part of the vision.”

Ray White New Zealand chief executive Daniel Coulson congratulated Crystal on becoming the new owner of Ray White Te Atatu, and welcomed Antonia to the Ray White family.

“Crystal has been an asset to Ray White over a number of years, and worked hard to make her mark on the industry and serve her local community, now with the opportunity to continue to build upon the foundation that had been established by our longstanding previous owner Diane Stevenson,” Daniel said.

“Antonia has a stellar reputation and strong real estate knowledge in the local area, and with her as part of the team, I can’t wait to see everything Ray White Te Atatu achieves in the coming years.”
