Wendy recently sold our home, after eleven months on the market. She was our agent for that period. Throughout that time, Wendy demonstrated absolute honesty and high ethical standards, a can-do attitude, high levels of communication and negotiation skills, and consistent perseverance and commitment.
Initially, whilst searching for a selling agent, a major issue regarding our home’s compliance was glossed over by other real estate agents. Wendy stated the issue honestly, the potential problems that could arise, and helped us find a solution, using her network of contacts. This quite likely prevented a complication during the sales negotiation process. During an inspection, another compliance problem, which was a total surprise to us and our builders, became evident. Wendy suggested creative solutions, shared contacts and gave moral support.
Wendy always endeavoured to reply honestly to purchasers’ questions and provided all info necessary about what might be considered negative aspects of our home. She researched answers to questions she might not be 100% sure of.
Wendy was also reliable: if she stated she would do a task, we were confident it would be done, in a timely manner.
Wendy has the ability to adapt her style of communication to the needs of the people she is speaking with. In our experience, this is a highly desirable skill in ‘completing deals’ and not common in the real estate industry. She demonstrated integrity and respect through her attentive listening skills and not ‘over-talking’. She was extremely creative in restating positively, a factor which might be considered a negative feature of our home or a situation.
Wendy demonstrated tenacity and organisation during the eleven months of the selling process. Wendy was totally committed in her role at the many open homes, stayed much longer if required, followed up possible leads and reported back her findings. Despite this tenacity, she was sensitive and sincerely empathetic to our needs.
