Sahil Vig was born in Punjab in India into a real estate family so it’s not surprising that he’s now a licensed salesperson at Ray White Manukau. Fluent in Punjabi, Hindi and English, Sahil studied commerce at school and university graduating with a Masters of business administration majoring in finance.
Sahil’s early career in India was involved in a range of customer and sales roles latterly with leading travel retail company Buddy Retail – an airport and metro station retail chain - as a management intern in New Delhi and then in 3 month Sahil was promoted to Operations Manager in Mumbai overseeing 8 or 9 of their stores marketing luxury goods, high end liquor, electronics and other products to the travelling public.
In 2014 Sahil moved with his wife to live in New Zealand and they settled in Papatoetoe. His first job was spent working in hospitality and he held several frontline roles for 6 months before turning to the FMCG industry where he was an Assistant long-life Manager at Countdown Manukau for 3 ½ years.
In 2018 he joined the real estate profession as PA to high profile south Auckland agent, Rubal Singh and became a pivotal member of the team for 1 ½ years. Sahil’s analytical mind and depth of understanding around real estate processes and relationship building were highly valued and his next logical step to get licensed in late 2019 was welcomed by Ray White Manukau who asked him to join their team in early 2020. Sahil will be working in the Manurewa and Papatoetoe neighbourhoods and looks forward to serving homeowners and buyers in an area he has called home since he arrived in New Zealand six years ago.
Sahil believes his capacity to build strong trusted relationships with people and simplify the complex process involved in buying and selling a house for his clients is a valuable talent. He is methodical, careful and calm under pressure in a profession where having a cool head and an organised approach is critical.
He has very little spare time these days as he builds his fledgling career but when he can, Sahil loves a game of indoor cricket. Well-networked in his home neighbourhood of Papatoetoe, Sahil also values time spent with friends and family
