Ray White Cambridge raised more than $11,000 for Ronald McDonald House through the Ray White Ronald McDonald Family Tennis Tournament.

There were 130 guests who attended the event which ran from 8.30am to 3.30pm at the Cambridge Tennis Club on March 12.

There were 55 teams across seven divisions indulging in family time on court together, which Ray White Cambridge performance and recruitment manager Sean Senior said was “the ultimate goal of the day”.

“A massive thank you to everyone who supported the Ray White Ronald McDonald Family Tennis Tournament, it really was an incredible success on so many levels,” Mr Senior said.

“The club was full of laughter and smiles with the most common question from the kids being ‘when is the next tournament? I want to play again!’.

“To all the adults who pushed themselves out of their comfort zone to be on court in an environment they are not so familiar with, I suspect we will be seeing you all back again next year with the smiles that came off court!!!

“We are very excited to announce that we have raised just over $11,000 for Ronald McDonald House! This is huge and will make a big difference for the house, thank you.”

Mr Senior thanked all the club members who volunteered on the day, and each sponsor of the event.

“Thank you to all our sponsors who financially supported Ronald McDonald House and believed in our family tennis tournament,” he said.

“Thank you to all the club members who helped out and supported the event, we really couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you.

“The club culture was shining bright with a large number of members helping out on the bbqs, in the kitchen, the bar, cleaning before and after the event, donating morning tea, afternoon tea and an endless lunch of steak buns, sausages and salads.”
