Auction activity was strong at Ray White Auckland Central yesterday as it recorded an 83 per cent clearance rate at its in-room auctions.
Ray White City Realty Group auction manager Cameron Brain said there were a total of 25 registered bidders at the auction event, with 18 placing a bid.
“There was electric energy within our auction rooms today with five out of six selling under the hammer,” Mr Brain said.
“It was fantastic to see a huge crowd in attendance in our brand new auction rooms at 246 Queen Street.”
The top sale of the day was 405/6a Nugent Street, Grafton which sold for $1,355,000, a great result for listing agent Casey Chen and the vendor, an investor who moved to Australia.
The property recorded two registered bidders with the winning bid going to an owner occupier who was upsizing.
“The market is pretty steady at the moment compared to last year, it really depends on the property. The well-priced properties or properties that are rarely found are still doing well.
“This property had a very good price.”
Agent May Ma had two Auckland Central properties sell under the hammer: 3e/109 Vincent Street sold for $185,000, while 510/11 Union Street sold for $169,500.
Agent Jeong Lee sold two Gore Street apartments in Auckalnd Central under the hammer with 30D/16 Gore Street selling for $85,000 and 17H/16 Gore Street selling for $91,000.
