Not only is Levani Lum-On helping provide great sales results for his clients, but he will go above and beyond to make sure their welfare is looked after — delivering hot tea and food to their doors (Covid permitting).

Mr Lum-On sold 31 Ashton Avenue, Otara, at auction on Tuesday night for $1.222 million — $552,000 above CV — a great result for the vendors.

Mr Lum-On said the vendors were an elderly couple who were selling their home to move to Australia and be closer to their family.

He said he personally delivered hot tea and raw fish to their door prior to lockdown after a recent illness in their household saw the couple in hospital.

“Most of their family are in Australia, and they were an elderly couple so I wanted to do welfare checks on them, then lockdown hit,” Mr Lum-On said.

“I’ve done it for other clients too, before lockdown.

“Just because you’ve sold a property for them it doesn’t mean you forget about them.

“A few of my past clients are elderly and on their own.

“Now with the inability to visit them, I call them most days.

“I have another lady I’ll check in on via phone today as she’s by herself and her family are all on the North Shore.”

Mr Lum-On said he was happy he could get such a great result for his vendors, with five registered bidders at auction.

“There was a genuine motivation to sell by the owners, and it was a development site in a handy location,” he said.

“A local developer bought the property.”

Ray White Manurewa | Manukau | Mangere Bridge | Mangere director Tom Rawson said he was proud to have “Levs” as part of the team.

“Levani is a great guy, a former chef, he is a real crowd pleaser,” Mr Rawson said.

“Levs is known within our group to go above and beyond for his staff mates.

“He is routinely called into Ronald McDonald House to help Ray White offices cook for the families in residence.”
