Level 4 lockdown hasn’t stopped online auctions from going ahead with full force in the Ray White Manurewa | Manukau | Mangere Bridge | Mangere offices, with more than 68 bidders registered for tonight’s event.
Ray White Manurewa | Manukau | Mangere Bridge | Mangere principal Tom Rawson said there were nine auctions going ahead online tonight, with Ray White New Zealand national lead auctioneer Sam Steele (pictured above) calling them all from the safety of his home.
“Two of them were brought forward and there’s another seven on top of that,” Mr. Rawson said.
“We have 68 registrations with more coming which is great.
“We didn’t expect to have that many registrations at all — it’s crazy.
“People are sitting at home wanting to buy property.”
Mr. Rawson said there had been a few challenges to operating under the level 4 guidelines, but it hadn’t stopped the business from listing new homes.
“On the first day we had seven or eight listings, but we’ve had about 25 listings since lockdown,” he said.
“The hardest part is getting photos.
“We’ve asked people in their homes to take photos, so we’ve been listing with minimal photos.”
