Ambition and experience are what make Sam Steele a great fit at Ray White New Zealand, joining the corporate team as national lead auctioneer.
Mr Steele has been in the real estate industry for the past 10 years, working as an auctioneer for the past five.
“I worked as an agent for a number of years in the challenging post-quake market in Christchurch before transitioning into full-time auctioneering, so I have a lot of experience on both sides of the transaction,” Mr. Steele said.
“What I love about auctioneering specifically is we see all the very best parts of the industry on a daily basis, and helping people to acquire their home or sell their home.
“You see people’s lives change and it’s great to be involved in.
“I’m really excited to join Carey Smith, Daniel Coulson, and the rest of the Ray White leadership team.”
Mr. Steele, who lives in Auckland with his wife and one-year-old daughter, has lots of experience in high-pressure situations thanks to his past career as a professional athlete.
“I was a member of the New Zealand cycling team on the velodrome and raced on the professional circuit in America before starting my career in real estate,” he said.
Ray White New Zealand chief operating officer Daniel Coulson said he felt excited and encouraged that Mr. Steele had decided to join the Ray White team.
“He has a great reputation within the industry and his personal ambitions fit well with our organisation,” Mr. Coulson said.
“Having Sam on board further strengthens the auction offering of Ray White New Zealand, his reputation for his calm, respectful demeanor ensures that both vendors and salespeople can easily relate and transact when Sam is involved.”
Mr. Coulson said he had followed Mr. Steele’s career for many years and was certain Mr. Steele would be a great fit for the team.
“He has successfully sold real estate across many key markets in New Zealand and his role with Ray White will ensure his unique skill set is successfully deployed to ensure the best possible results for the sellers we represent in the market,” Mr. Coulson said.
Mr. Steele called his first auction for Ray White on Monday night, with huge success.
“We had a stunning night with 10 properties up, and 10 sold,” Mr. Steele said.
“It’s certainly showing the strength not only in the wider Auckland market but the South Auckland sector.”
