Very much a local woman, Megan grew up on a Northland dairy farm and attended Kamo High School - achieving a high level of academic success.

Megan then went on to complete two university degrees, one being a Bachelor of Business Studies, and has worked in several local and international companies acquiring experience in the very complimentary fields of finance, accounting, conveyancing and customer service. This brings a solid understanding of how the commercial sector functions.

Megan also has strong connections to the Northland sporting community, having represented the region in hockey through the years.
