Meadowbank and Mount Wellington were the stars of the show last night as one property from each suburb sold under the hammer as auctions continued to be red-hot.
Ray White St Heliers Salespeople Judith Everitt, Peter Chatteris and Kim Thompson had the biggest sale of the night, as 2/92 St Johns Road (above) in Meadowbank sold for NZ$1,135,000 – NZ$55,000 over CV.
“It was an excellent campaign throughout with more than 50 groups through the property, six private inspections, and three repeat visits to the home,” Ms Everitt said.
“The unconditional nature of auction continues to be key for both buyers and sellers as it offers that certainty and a quick turnaround – the vendor and the local buyer were delighted with the outcome.
“The property market is very good. We’re seeing people list their home, wanting a deal done, and quicker decisions than ever being made. Now is the time to be selling your home.”
Over in Mount Wellington, Ray White Kohimarama Salespeople Pauline Brown and Nadine Wilson managed the NZ$923,500 sale of 47 Boakes Road (above), a price that was NZ $63,500 over the CV.
“I’ve known the vendor for a long time and they were ecstatic with the result – hats off to our auctioneer Wayne Maguire for negotiating such a great sale price,” Ms Brown said.
“The campaign was incredibly active throughout and we had over 80 groups through in three weeks of marketing that culminated in four registered bidders on the night – three of whom participated in the bidding.
“The property is in an up-and-coming area being close to shops and motorway links into the city – it’s a bit of an undiscovered gem – and the young couple who bought it certainly thought so.
“The market is great right now. Demand is outstripping supply. There’s never been a better time to list your property.”
