Matt Bennell

Licensee Salesperson
Ray White Queenstown

Matt has been living and working in Queenstown since 2009. Starting as a kitchen hand in a small cafe and moving his way up to General Manager of Queenstown’s largest live music venue at the time. Wanting more, he moved to tourism and became an integral cog of a successful local family business running motorbike tours through the mountains of the South Island.

An avid fan of anything with a motor he is hands on and loves fixing and creating in his garage on his days off. Being an “insta-father” of three, living in Arrowtown, raising an exaggerated nuclear family with the dog, cat and fenced section has been a dream come true for this once wild Aussie.

Often contributing to his community from announcing ice hockey games & dressing up as the Stampede mascot (The Beast), to being a Scouts leader with his step son or even converting the towns old recycling bins into compost bins to prevent them ending up in landfill, Matt takes advantage of the full 24 usable hours in a day.

Matt’s ambition, drive, and commitment to completing the job at hand makes him a great choice when buying or selling in what he calls ‘Never Never Land’.

Testimonials

Christine Gao

I always wanted to have a property in Queenstown, this had become one of my dreams since my first visit. During COVID lockdowns, I realised this may be my opportunity. I started searching properties on Trademe but didn’t know how to proceed further. I had very little knowledge of the Queenstown market and I couldn’t be there in person to view the properties as I live in Auckland. I emailed a few agents of the properties that were on my watch list. Matt Bennell was the first person to respond. From our first email, I found Matt was easy to deal with, honest, and professional, and nothing was too much trouble for him. His willingness to go the extra mile in arranging the video viewing the property had eased my concerns of not seeing the house. I am very grateful for Matt’s effort and hard work throughout the entire process, from negotiations to settlement. I am delighted with the outcome, and I hope the vendor is too. I would like to thank Matt for his excellent service. I wish Matt every success with his career.
