Recently, having had a lack of action from another local company we engaged Lloyd to find us a tenant for our soon to be vacant 4 bedroom unit in Halfmoon Bay. I left Cape Town South Africa on the 22nd of June 2016 heading for a country unknown to me, New Zealand. I arrived in NZ on the 23rd of June 2016 and not exactly sure about my decision as I did not know anyone and knew even less about this country. I was booked into a motel in Ellerslie for a couple of days but knew that I needed to find a place to stay as soon as possible as my family was joining me soon. I started searching for suitable accommodation to no avail, as finding a needle in a hay stack seemed to have been an easier task. I searched on Trademe and found a couple of suitable options, but then I was faced with trying to get an appointment for a viewing or just simply to get an agent to call me back. I left numerous voicemail, text and emails but I was beginning to think that why do these so called agents bother advertising if there was no real urgency in occupying all of these properties. After a week or so, I was ready to give up my search for accommodation when I came across an apartment on Trademe, it was listed by Ray White and the agent was Lloyd Reardon, the apartment was in a nice neighborhood and thought to myself, if I do not get a response from this agent, I was most certainly giving up and would loose total faith in estate agents in New Zealand. After sending an email and just to be sure, a text as well, I received a response, my first response from an estate agent. Lloyd contacted me and the rest is history, we set up an appointment for a viewing the very next day and I was able to move in almost immediately. Lloyd went the extra mile to ensure that he had done what he could to accommodate me in such a short time. Lloyd Reardon from Ray White Realty has recently let our rental property. He was very professional in his approach. Lloyd willing took on the task, viewing our rental, advertising for possible tenants, interviewing and researching their credentials, arranging for us to meet prospective tenants and then collecting and forwarding the Bond for us. We had previously rented properties through Ray White and knew that Lloyd would do the job admirably. Once we gave him the “go ahead” he quickly viewed the property, arranged with the current tenant times he could take prospects through and put photos on the Trademe Rental site just a few hours after the photos became available to him. Within a very short time, Lloyd was able to tell us that he had several prospects and that he would be checking them out. The first one checked out fine. Lloyd immediately arranged for us to meet them and 24 hours later we had our new tenants. We couldn’t ask for better than that!! Within 14 days of the current tenant shifting out, the new tenant had shifted in. In the meantime, we had done some minor repairs and maintenance, installed the new requirement insulation and were able to have the house right ready for the new occupiers. We are very happy.
