I entered the real estate world in 1992 and after 4 ½ years of building a great career in Taranaki my family and I couldn't resist moving to the sunny Bay of Plenty!
Arriving in 1997 the market had been buoyant but was starting to slide. After 4 ½ years of a flat Taranaki property market I couldn't see what all the fuss was about! Within two years I was a top Real Estate Salesperson for a large local Real Estate company.
In 2001/2002 I completed my A.R.E.I.N.Z studies at Massey University and believe those were also my two top selling years. I then entered management and led my offices into National recognition with their achievements.
In 2006 I joined the local Ray White Group as a Director and Business Owner and have to say the culture is second to none and the people within the company are fantastic.
After years spent in Merchant Banking, writing music for television, horticulture, retail and much travel I know that I have found a career that has maintained my passion and enthusiasm for 24 years and most likely for the next 24 years too.
In my opinion "Real estate is simply about people,
and if you put people first, - everything else follows suit."

Greg is a very generous person, not only with his time and knowledge, but as an all round great human being. I can rely on Greg to be serious and have the answers when I need them and yet totally humorous and up for a laugh when one needs it.
Greg is a very likeable fella. A strong leader who tells you how it is when you need it and even when don't want to hear it. He always has your back to succeed. 100%. His tool kit of knowledge is large for you to grow in the real estate industry.
Greg is a bunch of fun! Usually when you think of a boss in a professional business, you'd think "stern, tough, mean & micro-managing"... Greg is everything but that. When I first met with Greg, he told me that real estate was NOT easy and I would likely have a hard time, but he would be there to support me every single step along the way. Greg is an incredible people-person, is always able to make light of a dark situation, make anybody laugh, and always has a great story to tell from his life. It isn't often you get a boss that you get along with, but I am very thankful to have an honest, helpful, charismatic, energetic & fun boss to be around.
Greg the Bossman. Controlling, overpowering and arrogant....... only joking! I know I can say that because of Greg's sense of humour. He's been really great since I met him three years ago. Greg has always listened to any concerns I've had and tried to help whenever he can. He is very approachable and definitely has an open door policy if any of his staff have any issues. He leads from the front and wants everyone to enjoy working together. At the end of the day he's a good guy!
After 20 years in real estate sales I have to say Greg is one of the best. He runs a fair, honest and no nonsense ship with a real and great sense of humour. A pleasure to be around and always so positive.

I have recently joined the Ray White Papamoa family and can honestly say the one who made my decision of where to work so much easier was Greg. I had spoken to many offices about starting my career in real estate, and my question was always what sort of experience I was in for. Almost all of the answers I got involved a lot of sugary sweet things about the wonderful parts of this job. Greg's first words to me where "this job is hard, it takes a lot and you may cry but we can cry together." I'll never forget that. Not only is Greg a funny bugger, he's genuine, kind, and respects that sometimes life throws curveballs - but he'll always work through it with you. Agreeing to come and work for Greg was a great decision, even though it took me a while to finally make the jump! So if Greg asks you to work for him, just bloody say yes... He truly wants the best for each of us.
Greg believes in me and supports me 100%. I feel part of the Ray White family versus an employee with other companies as Ray White provides awards for recognition and supports me through any hurdle I may have within my job. When I started my Real Estate career 20 years ago the best advice someone in the industry gave me was "choose your boss/manager carefully as they are the ones that have your back " and Greg certainly does. He has an even temperament and has the knack to keep things light while still getting his message across. He always makes time for you and definitely has your back in tricky situations. He is generous and really works at having a warm and supportive culture in our company. I feel really happy and am grateful to have him as my boss.
