7th March 2017 Selling a Property (our Home) My wife and I decided last year to sell our property and relocated to be nearer family. During our life we have moved many times to different places in NZ and the World early days with children and lately without children. You could say we are “experienced” travellers and I guess we knew what to expect (so we thought). After “shopping” for a real-estate agent and looking at the options (doing it ourselves), we quickly came to the conclusion that using an agent would be by far the better option. We decided to go with Garry and Lisa Tranter, who at the time where with Leaders, since merged with Ray White. So what was it that made us select Garry and Lisa. When they came to our home for a meeting and started to tell us about themselves and outline the various options about selling a property. We were very impressed with the relaxed, casual but detailed way they approach selling property. I must admit that while I was impressed by them I was still a bit unsure and then I heard them mention something that I had never heard from an agent before “we guarantee, if we do not deliver they would reduce their commission”. We recently engaged the services of Garry and Lisa Tranter to market our house in Trentham as we had decided to move to the Kapiti Coast. What prompted you to select Garry and Lisa Tranter as your property specialist? We used Garry and Lisa’s on-line valuation system to initially make contact. Plus we knew Lisa and Garry from when they owned their video business at Trentham. Lisa gave me a card one day when I was in there. What aspects of dealing with Garry and Lisa did you like the most? They were friendly, approachable, informative and kept the communication channels open no matter what time we rang or e-mailed (due to our own busy careers there were sometimes some late night calls).
