In a bid to help with the affordability for families building a new home, Ray White Pukekohe will be selling house and land packages with the option of free rent during the construction period.
Part of the Booker Estate in Tuakau, Ray White Pukekohe agent Jonathan Ziesler is bringing the house and land packages to market on behalf of award-winning Jennian Homes Franklin.
Mr. Ziesler said Jennian Homes Franklin would pay rent up to $20,000 for those who bought a house and land package as part of the Booker Estate, which was the equivalent of approximately $550 a week for nine months, the average rent for the Tuakau area.
“House and land packages were flying out the doors last year, but now with the lending restrictions and more houses on the market, buyers have more choice,” Mr. Ziesler said.
“For a construction loan, buyers are having to pay the construction payments and also pay rent, which limits the affordability for a lot of families.
“We’ve acknowledged the fact that families trying to get into a brand new home are struggling, but we don’t want to rule it out for families trying to get into new warm quality homes, so together we’ve come up with a way to help.”
The rent payments will be made weekly or fortnightly for buyers, either in their existing rental, or in a rental sourced by the Ray White team.
