Ray White offices across Christchurch celebrated another outstanding set of auction results last week as 17 properties sold under the hammer for a combined total value of $9,768,000.

The Garden City of the Plains achieved an auction day clearance rate of 77.8 per cent – 27.78 per cent up on the same period last year – and saw an increase in registered and active bidders.

“Market activity in Christchurch is off the charts as auctions continue to play a prominent role in achieving exceptional results for our sellers. There has never been a better time to sell in the city than right now,” said Ray White New Zealand South Island Regional Manager Jane Meyer.

“Our data shows the competition for properties is only increasing and this is great news if you are selling – it’s important to know there’s still time for an auction campaign before Christmas.”
