The Queenstown Lakes Community Housing Trust (QLCHT) has owned a unique piece of commercially-zoned bare land in the residential subdivision of Lake Hayes Estate since 2008. After our original purchaser was unable to complete settlement, we placed the site on the open market as a general agency. I emailed six local commercial real estate agents advising them of the details and offering them a general agency listing. Bas replied immediately thanking me for the opportunity, advising me of potential purchaser names to register and noting he would endeavor to have an offer back to us within 24 hours. This prompt and efficient response was a far cry from two of the agents who failed to reply at all! Within a couple of days Bas presented an offer to us which, while not accepted, was pleasing to see there was an agent keen to drive the sale. Two weeks later Bas had a new unconditional offer to us which was accepted a short time later. Throughout the one month period that it took Bas to sell our property, he remained in constant communication with QLCHT - registering names of potential buyers, asking details regarding the property and advising any general updates. It was refreshing to deal with such a proactive agent with excellent communication skills and a genuine personality.
