Adrian was born in Sabah, Malaysia. At the age of 15, his family migrated to New Zealand. He was raised in the Bucklands Beach area where he attended at Macleans College. His interest in the housing market began when he purchased his first home at 27.
For 17 years, he owned a well known furniture franchise store at Botany Downs. Adrian has more than 2 decades of experience in sales, marketing and management. This has allowed him to develop unique communication and negotiation techniques that will benefit both his clients and customers in real estate industry.
His interest in housing development has provided him with an understanding of the building industry, homeowner and purchaser requirements, and the intricacies of housing design. With housing design, development knowledge, as well as an understanding of interior design and color scheme concept, he believes he can turn a house into a home.

We are a Latin American family of 4 who moved to New Zealand in 2020 to settle down in this beautiful country, one of our main goals was to own a home. As soon as we got our residence back in March 2022, we decided to start looking for our first home. The real state in NZ is completely different from our country, there you don’t see houses being sold at auctions, selling prices are always known and the buyer negotiates and gets to a lower figure than the original asking price. So, we started by asking friends about their experiences and stories, and one of their main advice was to get an Agent on our side. We decided to start looking on our own in the same area we were living, and every time we ended up disappointed and frustrated because of how the real state works in New Zealand and the high prices. A few weeks had passed, and we were starting to feel that getting a house was an impossible task. By that time, we were getting lots of calls from agents about houses we had seen, and it always felt like a one-sided conversation. Between all this noise of information, we got an email from an Agent called Adrian Chin, he asked us to fill out a questionary to better understand our needs and desires. A couple of days later he contacted us with a list of candidates and offer to coordinate all the visits, we met him on the first visit of the list, and upon realizing we were such a newbie proceeded to give us an overview of the market, how New Zealand real state works and plenty of advice about what type of properties could be the most convenient for us. During the first couple of visits he organized, we got a good feeling about working with him, he would listen and always had time for us, wasn’t pushy with any property, teaching us what things we should pay more attention to when doing a property visit, so we decided to work with him exclusively, this meant the searching started getting easier because he filtered options according to our needs and budget, arranged all the visits as well. One day, an option came up matching most of the things we wanted: Area, size, and schools, but we thought it would be out of our budget and were reluctant to go into the auction, Adrian had a Market analysis done for the area and demonstrated us we had a chance, then helped us to prepare a strategy for the auction. Now it’s a couple of months since auction day and we are enjoying our cozy comfy new home and looking forward to the next one.
