Ray White Manukau, Manurewa, Mangere and Mangere Bridge auctioned 46 properties at their The Day 5.0 auction event on Wednesday.
The Day saw a clearance rate of 57 per cent, with a total of $$22,128,500 in property sold under the hammer.
With Ray White New Zealand auctioneers Sam Steele and Ben East calling the auctions, The Day saw a whopping 264 registered bidders, with an average of 5.7 registered bidders per auction.
“The room was buzzing with activity from 9 o’clock in the morning.to 5:45m at night,” Ray White Manukau, Manurewa, Mangere, and Mangere Bridge co-director Tom Rawson said.
“We saw 264 registered buyers across the properties, throwing out a remarkable 1,073 bids.
“Widely considered a challenging market, we had all hands on deck to achieve results for our clients. The negotiations were tough, but the outcomes were fantastic.”
Ray White Manukau, Manurewa, Mangere, and Mangere Bridge co-director Adam Thomson said there was a palpable energy in the room.
“It was amazing to witness transactions for properties where owners had previously given up on the market,” he said,
“Our team were able to use their wide networks to find the right buyers and get a successful result for our clients.”
The top result of the day went to Ray White Manukau agent James Mcgregor who sold an established kiwi fruit farm at 99 Alfriston-Ardmore Road under the hammer for $2,645,000 with six registered bidders.
The top result for number of registered bidders went to agents Karlen Athnaeil and Rubal Singh who sold a fire damaged home at 2/43 Derrimore Heights, Clover Park under the hammer for $430,000 with a whopping 21 registered bidders.
“We haven’t seen 21 registered bidders on a property since 2021,” Mr Thomson said.
“So that’s a strong signal for sellers who have been waiting for the right market conditions—the time to act is now.”

“The room was packed with a variety of buyers, each concluding their property hunt with a smile on their face as they left our Manukau auction room.
“The genuine motivation of our owners attracted buyers from near and far, and the results truly speak for themselves.”
