Ray White Canterbury continues bond with rugby community

Ray White Canterbury will remain the principal partner of Canterbury Rugby for another three years, as 24 Ray White offices in the region come together to bring the partnership to life. 

 

Ray White’s relationship with Canterbury Rugby began in 2018 when Ray White first took the opportunity to come on board as Canterbury Rugby’s principal partner. Aligning these two well-respected and high-performing brands was a perfect fit for Ray White, with the Ray White logo displayed on prime real estate – on the front of the NPC team jersey and on the back of the FPC jersey. 

 

“As principal partner of Canterbury Rugby, Ray White is carried everywhere we go, right from our marketing collateral to our match day and retail apparel you will see our brands together, and it’s a brand connection Canterbury Rugby is very proud of,” Canterbury Rugby CEO Tony Smail said. 

“We’re stoked to confirm Ray White as our principal partner for another three years and grow on the gains we’ve already made together in our community.” 

 

Over the past six years, Ray White New Zealand chief executive Daniel Coulson said the partnership had allowed Ray White Canterbury to integrate themselves within the rugby community in a region that loves the sport so deeply.

 

“Rugby holds a special place in the hearts and minds of most Cantabrians,” Mr Coulson said. 

 

“It is a game that requires both performance and leadership – so our decision to support this partnership for another three years has been an easy one.

 

“It’s an association that is felt far and wide and is also one that has given both organisations the opportunity to contribute and make a difference at a community level, right through to helping grow the support of men’s NPCand women’s FPC competition. 

 

“It’s an impressive legacy to be part of and we are proud to be partnered with Canterbury rugby.”

 

Starting at the grassroots, Ray White plays a major role in assisting Canterbury Rugby to deliver an important connection with our Canterbury community, from getting muddy and giving out fruit to the under 6s on early morning club days, through to the flags waved in support when the NPC and FPC teams run on to the stadium. 

An initiative both organisations are very proud of is the successful impact made with the Keep it Positive campaign, which encourages positive sideline behaviour across both club and professional games. There are plans to grow this important message over the next three years, with a 300 per cent increase in the number of Ray White bibs going into the communities for coaches and sideline roles to wear. 

 

Ray White Canterbury zone chair Claire Morris said even if you’re not a fan of the game, the importance of the Canterbury Rugby and Ray White bond could be felt throughout the community, with almost everyone having a connection to either or both brands. 

 

“Our partnership with Canterbury Rugby is unique and stretches far wider than a logo on jerseys,” Ms Morris said. 

 

“Having our offices work so closely and productively for the good of the community and brand can be unique in an often competitive industry. 

 

“The fact our Canterbury zone sees what is best for our region and collaborates on many activities, especially this major partnership, has always been a great success to our brand, and most importantly to our community and clients.”
