A Wynyard Quarter apartment with stunning views has sold under the hammer for $3 million.

Located at 303/132 Halsey Street, the two-bedroom two bathroom apartment attracted plenty of attention prior to auction with 36,201 virtual inspections, and 30 private inspections.

Brought to market by Ray White Wynyard Quarter agent Gabriela Galateanu, the property spent just 21 days on market, drawing four registered bidders on auction day.

“It was quite mindblowing the interest we had for something in that price range,” Ms Galateanu said.

“The buyer was really keen to move into the building. She lives in Waiheke and was looking for a city base.”

Ms Galateanu said there was plenty to love about the apartment.

“It’s in a great location, and it’s in the best complex in Wynyard Quarter because of the unobstructed views,” she said.

“It’s right in the centre of town and it also has great facilities with a theatre, gym and concierge service.”

Ray White City Realty Group auction manager Cameron Brain, who called the auction, said it was pleasing to see buyer engagement and activity at that end of the market.

“The auction started at $1.8 million and rapidly rose to $2.8 where I paused and referred the bid to the owner,” he said.

“After a discussion with the buyer they increased their bid to $3 million where I announced we were on the market.

“It’s always a good auction when both buyer and vendor are happy with the result.”
