Ray White Canterbury is fundraising for Ronald McDonald House South Island through its Home and Garden Tour, with more than $80,000 already raised as part of the event.

One hundred per cent of the proceeds from the Ray White Home and Garden Tour 2021 will go to Ronald McDonald House South Island.

Ronald McDonald House South Island is an independent charitable trust that provides free accommodation and support to families who must travel to Christchurch and Invercargill for their child’s medical treatment.

Each year the charity provides a home-away-from-home for more than 1,200 families.

Held on November 6, the Ray White Home and Garden Tour aims to provide a rare glimpse into a hand-picked selection of some of Christchurch’s beautiful private homes and gardens, all while supporting an important cause.

Ray White Canterbury relationship manager, Alice Mackenzie said businesses, brands, and individuals contributing to the day’s planning had meant some pretty great surprises were planned to give the tour a point of difference.

“It’s important to Ray White Canterbury to make our tour memorable,” Ms Mackenzie said.

“There will be goodie bags, engagement opportunities, and giveaways from fantastic local businesses to accompany the day’s experience.

“We have been blown away by the enthusiasm for the event.”

Ronald McDonald House South Island chairman Jock Muir said he was thrilled to be supported by Ray White Canterbury through the Ray White Home and Garden Tour 2021.

“We are so grateful to Ray White Canterbury for their continued support for Ronald McDonald House South Island,” Mr Muir said.

“The funds raised from the Ray White Home and Garden Christchurch Tour will go directly towards supporting the refurbishment of the Ronald McDonald House in Christchurch.”

“This major refurbishment will see the house’s 27 family ensuite bedrooms, volunteer bedroom, adults lounge, teenagers room, education room, back of house offices, plus the Annex building, all get a complete makeover.

“The refurbishment is an opportunity to provide an even more comfortable and stress-free experience for the families who stay with us.

“It is because of the generosity of our amazing supporters like Ray White Canterbury and the wonderful sponsors, home owners, and all those who will be attending this amazing event, that we are able to continue to provide and grow our services across the South Island and to support families with children in hospital so they are able to focus on what matters most, their child.”
