The Ray White Canterbury team will be stepping out in yellow shoe laces to support Lachie’s Laces and help raise funds for the Child Cancer Foundation.

Lachie’s Laces was started by Kelly Sharpe after she lost her son Lachie to cancer in June 2020.

The Lachie’s Laces charity sells pairs of bright yellow shoe laces to raise money and awareness for the Child Cancer Foundation.

Many of the Ray White Canterbury offices have been selling Lachie’s Laces and, on September 24 and 25, Ray White Canterbury staff will be donning the yellow laces to help show support for this important cause.

“Staff had been across Lachie’s story over the years, and many Canterbury offices came together to support Lachie’s memory, and of course, the Child Cancer Foundation,” Ray White Canterbury relationships manager Alice Mackenzie said.

So far, Ray White Canterbury have sold 200 pairs of laces, raising $1000.

Ms Mackenzie said there were more laces on their way, with some agents hoping to support the charity on an ongoing basis.

“A few of the Ray White agents in Canterbury love the laces so much they are going to continue to support the charity by gifting them to clients and connections,” she said.

“Having Lachie’s lace displayed in our offices has been like adding little rays of sunshine and it has been a wonderful talking point with staff and clients to be able to share love and support for this worthy charity.”

Ms Sharpe said she was excited to have Ray White supporting Lachie’s Laces this year.

“Their commitment to raising the profile of this new fundraiser, through selling Lachie’s Laces in their branches, to seeing the laces worn by their staff and agents in the community, is heartwarming,” Ms Sharpe said.
