Papamoa Beach has recorded a record sale with the beautiful beach front home at 73 Karewa Parade selling for $4.42 million.

The stunning four-bedroom elegant residence sold for $1.48 million above RV after being a beloved family holiday home to the vendors for seven years.

Number one salesperson for Ray White Papamoa and Mount Maunganui’s Team Q Quintin Havenga said the home received a large amount of interest from both local and international buyers, with 33 groups viewing the home over the three-week Auction campaign.

“Buyers from the Bay of Plenty region and Auckland were the majority of viewers, however, there were interested parties from further afield — Waikato and Wellington,” Mr Havenga said.

“The buyer type ranged from retirees to young families — permanent home buyers and holiday home seekers from out of town.”

“Some buyers were looking to upgrade from their current properties along the same stretch of beach.”

Mr Havenga said the successful buyers were a young, local, Mount Maunganui family.

“They were very excited to be moving to an ocean view location in Papamoa’s premium beachfront parade.”

Mr Havenga said the home was truly one of a kind.

“It was an elegant oceanfront residence with a lot to offer in its presentation as well as design functionality,” he said.

“It’s absolute beachfront location made it quite an attractive acquisition.”

“It really appealed to those searching for a distinctive large family home.”

The property was offered for sale via auction, however, immediately post-auction it went into a multi-offer, where both unconditional and conditional buyers were able to submit offers.

Four offers were presented to the vendors for consideration.
