The per square metre record for Manurewa has been smashed at auction as 229 Great South Road (above) sold under the hammer for $1.901 million – more than 123% over its CV.

The previous record stood at $2,002psqm, but that was handsomely beaten, with the four-bedroom brick home and two-bedroom minor dwelling on 819sq m selling for $2,321psqm.

The property was successfully marketed and sold under the hammer after 47 bids by Ray White Manukau Salesperson Levani Lum-On.

That was the highlight of another terrific night for the said Ray White Manukau I Manurewa I Mangere I Mangere Bridge offices as they collectively sold nine properties at auction for just shy of $10 million, with an average sale price of more than 25% over the CV.

“The auction room was absolutely packed to the rafters with a quinella of buyers,” said Ray White Manukau I Manurewa I Mangere I Mangere Bridge Principal Tom Rawson.

“We had developers, investors, first home buyers and a family all purchase successfully at auction and we had some very happy clients.

“We even had one seller coming from as far away as Devonport, sitting in two hours of traffic, so she could watch her property go under the hammer.”
