A beautifully renovated 1940s four-bedroom, two-bathroom home in Remuera has sold under the hammer for an incredible $4,525,000 at 8 Ingram Road (pictured above) – rounding off a five-star week of auctions for the team at Ray White Mt Eden.
Salesperson Rachel Berry welcomed 90 groups through during the open homes and said the textbook campaign reflected the opportunity that was on offer.
“This was an outstanding result for our vendors. The campaign attracted 10 registered buyers at the auction as the property sold for a whopping 53 per cent over its CV,” Ms Berry said.
“Competition was the name of the game for this one as we moved up from the opening bid of $3,000,000 to $4,000,000 in the blink of an eye, and after 25 bids, the hammer finally fell.”
Elsewhere, Westmere’s 5 Richard Street (pictured above) sold for $2,450,000, Eden Terrace’s 8 Bright Street sold for $1,825,000, and 49 Second Avenue in Kingsland sold for $1,445,000 all sold by Saleserspn Robyn Ellson. Additionally, 5 Peary Road in Mt Eden sold for $1,900,000.
Ray White New Zealand Lead Auctioneer John Bowring said the five-star under the hammer results were indicative of a market that showed no sign of letting up.
“As the countdown towards Christmas begins, instead of activity starting to tail off, it’s actually ramping up more and more as buyers and sellers look to get deals done now,” Mr Bowring said.
“Ray White New Zealand has just celebrated its fourth personal best month in a row in the area of sales value and sales volume, so that tells us that there’s never been a better time to sell.”
