Auctions continued to reign supreme last night as sellers achieved some outstanding results under the hammer in and around Auckland as the property market remained red-hot.

The stand-out auction of the night belonged to Ray White Remuera Salesperson John Lantz who sold 11 Tarawera Terrace (pictured above) in St Heliers for a whopping $3.58 million.

“We had more than 100 viewings for this home over a three-week marketing campaign which is phenomenal for the $3-million-plus price bracket,” Mr Lantz said.

“The property was previously listed for sale with another agency and that produced an offer of $3.1 million, which was turned down.

“We relaunched the home with new photos, video and marketing, and the home successfully sold under the hammer for $3.58 million after attracting 13 registered buyers.

“The sale was a real testament to the auction processes we have in place here, and to make it even more extraordinary, we had two public holiday long weekends during the campaign.”

It turned out to be a double delight night for Mr Lantz as he also sold 107B Meadowbank Road in Meadowbank (pictured above) for $2.345 million under the hammer.

Salespeople Ari Starr and Sarah Walden made it a hat-trick for the powerhouse Remuera office as they successfully sold 20 Wilkinson Road in Ellerslie (pictured below) for $1.67 million.

“We had more than 100 groups through during the campaign for this three-bedroom home with the owners moving onto Cambridge,” Mr Starr said.

“We received a pre-auction offer of $1.41 million but the campaign attracted nine registered buyers on the night and that pushed the price up to $1.67 million under the hammer to very happy first home buyers.”

Elsewhere, Ray White Universal had a hat-trick of their own as 15 Sacred Kingfisher Road in Hobsonville sold for $1.225 million, Te Atatu South’s 11 Milich Terrace sold for $1.205 million, and finally, 21 Saltmarsh Road – also in Hobsonville – sold for $966,000.
